We would like to say thanks to everybody who's been to see us this year for all your support and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year. We hope to see you all again next year.
So to 2017. We have pretty much finalised booking our gigs for next year. September Gigs Coming UpWe hope you're enjoying the summer now that it's finally arrived in the UK or if you've been away. We had an excellent gig at The Plough & Harrow in Harpenden in early August but otherwise we've also been generally trying to relax and enjoy the weather.
The fun starts again soon though and we have two great gigs coming up in the first half of September, firstly at The Royal Oak in Stevenage Old Town on the 3rd, and then the following weekend at the Blacksmith's Arms in St. Albans on the 10th. We really hope you can join us at one or both of them.
Further details of all our gigs are available by clicking this link to the Gig Guide or the one in the menu above.
Bedford Gig at The King's Arms 23rd July CANCELLEDReally sorry, but Mick has been given a date for his eye operation which means we won't be able to play the King's Arms on July 23rd.
We'll be back in action at The Plough & Harrow in Harpenden on 6th of August so please come and see us then. In the meantime we wish Mick a speedy recovery. Further details of all our gigs are available by clicking this link to the Gig Guide or the one in the menu above.
Charity Gig for "Headway Hertfordshire" - the people who helped Mick after his injuryWow - it's been ages since a website update - really sorry for that.
On Friday 6th of May we are playing a charity gig for the charity "Headway". The gig will be held at Welwyn Sports and Social Club, Ottway Walk, Welwyn AL6 9AS from 8pm till midnight. Further details are available by clicking this link to the Gig Guide or the one in the menu above.
Many of you will know that back in 2013, Mick - our amazing guitarist - fell from a ladder whilst working and sustained a terrible head injury. After several days in a coma, he awoke with dreadful injuries, paralysis in his hands and arms, but worst of all almost total memory loss - he didn't even recognise his family!!
Thankfully, his physical movement slowly came back, and his memory also gradually began to recover. Much of this was due to his own dogged determination to get well again, and the brilliant doctors and nurses at The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, where he was flown by Air Ambulance, but also since he left hospital by the help of the incredible brain injury charity Headway, who have helped him recover (and continue to do so) and without whom he would never have got back to playing guitar as if nothing had happened.
Tickets are just £20 and include a buffet and a raffle. Please come and support this amazing cause as well as hearing Mick and the rest of us rock the night away. Tickets are available from Headway Hertfordshire, please phone 0300 330 1455 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Incidentally, we've also had a rehearsal, and learnt some new numbers and brought back a few old ones so there'll be plenty of great stuff to listen to on the night. Hope you can all make it.

We'll be taking a short break over the festive season and January but we'll be back in February, kicking off at The Royal Oak in Stevenage on the 6th Feb followed by our first return to The Grove in Welwyn Garden City on the 27th.

Our full schedule for next year is now fully updated (watch out as there's been a couple of minor changes), including a very special charity gig on the 6th May - details on venue for this gig and on the charity will follow very shortly.
We're also working on one or two new numbers for next year as well as bringing back a few more oldies, so make sure you come along to hear them.

We have a couple more gigs to add which we will do once they are confirmed, including hopefully a very special gig in the spring - more details on this as soon as we can.
The Final LegSo we enter the final phase of gigs for the year - two in November and a final one in early December at three great venues. Firstly we'll be at The Plough and Harrow in Harpenden on 7th Nov, then The King's Arms in Bedford on 14th Nov and finally at The George and Dragon in Eaton Socon on 5th Dec. We hope to see you at one or even better all of them! As always, more details can be found on the Gig Guide page.
October GigsWe have two gigs at the beginning of October. Firstly, in St Albans on the 3rd we return to The Blacksmith's Arms - always a great gig in a packed pub. Then on Friday 9th we're back at The Jungle Bar in Hertford. We played our first gig there earlier this year, and what a great night it was. The bar has its own PA system and in-house sound engineers so we sounded awesome and there was a fantastic crowd too - this time we hope to have even more people there, so please come down and see us if you really want to hear us at our best. As always, more details can be found on the Gig Guide page.
Gigs in August and SeptemberWe have two gigs in each of August and September. Firstly, to help you through the summer holidays we have a couple of gigs in the Beds/Cambs area starting at The George & Dragon in Eaton Socon on 15th Aug followed by The King's Arms in Bedford on 22nd Aug - two great venues where we always have great time. These are followed in September by two Stevenage gigs - first early in the month on the 5th Sep at The Royal Oak and then just down the road at the Coach & Horses at the end of the month on the 26th. Again - two great venues where you are assured of a cracking evening. Please come along and help us make some great music. More details can be found on the Gig Guide page.
New Gig coming upOn Saturday 25th July, we'll be playing at a brand new venue - The Grove in Welwyn Garden City - hosted by the former landlady of the Doctor's Tonic where we always had a fantastic experience. Please come along and help us make it a great debut night. More details can be found on the Gig Guide page.
Breaking News - New Gig at The Jungle Bar announcedFollowing a fantastic first gig at The Jungle Bar in Hertford back at the end of March, we have now managed to find a slot in the schedule for a follow-up gig on Friday 9th October. It's a great venue, which has live music every Firday and has an awesome in-house PA system run by superb sound engineers - you'll never hear us sounding so good! We really hope you can make it along on the night. You can find more details on the Gig Guide page.
New Numbers (and some old ones re-learnt)Having recntly brought back some numbers that for one reason or another we hadn't played for a while, and they went down a storm, so we thought we should finalise our current playlist and re-learn those other songs that have also been missing for a while - they won't all appear at once, but look out for them over the next few gigs. You can check out the revised current repertoire on our Playlist page by clicking the link.
While we were at it, we also came up with a couple of ideas for new numbers. Their titles remain a closely guarded secret for now, but once we've learnt them and rehearsed them, they should be making an appearance at gigs in the spring - we'll give you some warning.
Awesome first gig in 2015We had a fantastic opening gig of the year at the Coach & Horses in Stevenage Old Town at the end of January, where we brought back a few numbers we hadn't played for a while to a great reception. Thanks to everyone that came along and sang, danced and cheered - we hope you all had as good a time as we did.
Announcing our New Bass PlayerWe are very pleased to announce our new bass player: Richard Hurford.
Rich has been a friend of the band for longer than we can all remember. In fact, he was the founding bass player in our previous incarnations The Sports and Easy Street.
After a short 26 year break he’s back in the saddle with a refurbished bass and a new amp. He's even splashed out on a new set of strings – apparently the old ones had gone a bit rusty after 30 years!
We are all thoroughly looking forward to having Rich as part of the band again. Please come along and see us at our next two gigs at The King's Arms in Bedford this Saturday (9th Aug) or the following week at The George & Dragon in Eaton Socon.
We are really looking forward to playing all the gigs in the diary this year and beyond. The rest of the year's schedule can be found by clicking this gig guide link or the one at the top of the page.
In the meantime, we hope you are enjoying the summer, and we look forward to seeing you in Bedford and then in Eaton Socon.
